Mippin

A new mobile web service mippin is now in beta by request only. I have already requested my version and am excited to see how this service will differentiate itself from Tappity, the user generated source for finding mobile-friendly web pages. The new service states that they are making this available because “it is just too hard to find really great mobile sites”. I am extremely interested to see how this service will take shape and be utilized as finding quality working mobile web pages is somewhat of a struggle depending on what type of content you’re looking for.

The mobile web is still very young although picking up some serious momentum. It will be interesting to see if services like mippin will help the currently slow adopted mobile web. The current release has been very vague at this point but you can visit the mippin blog to stay up to date on this service as more information becomes available. As soon as I have my version of the beta to test I will I will provide further insight…
