My Top 7 Favorite Blogs/Sites

September 17th, 2007 | Online, Personal

You know the handful of sites that you visit as soon as you sit down to your computer? The ones that are high priority and your go to sites in your RSS reader of choice? Well, I want to share with you some of my favorite sites at the moment. I can easily drag this out to 10 or 15 sites that I visit on a daily basis but I immediatley thought of the line from the movie “Something About Mary“. It goes a little something like this:

“7’s the key number here. Think about it. 7-Elevens. 7 doors. 7, man, that’s the number. 7 chipmunks twirlin’ on a branch, eatin’ lots of sunflowers on my uncle’s ranch. You know that old children’s tale from the sea. It’s like you’re dreamin’ about Gorgonzola cheese when it’s clearly Brie time, baby. Step into my office”.

Seeing as how 7 is the key number here, I’ll keep this short. The following sites are ones that I visit religiously.

Glenn Wolsey has been one of my favorite blogs for a while now. I extremely enjoy his point of views as well as post topics (considering we share a lot of similar interests). Coming from New Zealand you’re guaranteed a unique perspective on things such as Apple products, blogging, productivity as well as photography. He’s young but definitely experienced. Just visit his archive and you’ll see how he has grown since he’s started. Glenn’s site is one that has provided constant inspiration for me and is a must read.

Paul has been another individual that has sparked my interest in blogging. This college student at Georgia Tech has already been apart of Technorati’s top 100 blogs and is clearly deserving of that accomplishment. I have great respect for the way in which he puts his site together. From structure to content he will be one I always follow. He provides valuable insights on and around tech news as well as reviews and some very helpful how to guides.

Darren Rowse at ProBlogger has been extremely helpful to me in starting my blog. He provides all bloggers, from beginners to pro’s amazing advice on many aspects of blogging. Whether its starting a blog and generating traffic or how to most effectively monetize your blog. Darren’s site is a must read for anyone in the blogging world.

The Unofficial Apple Weblog is pretty self explanatory and could be one of the best sources for news and updates in the world of Apple. This is one of the first blogs I read when opening NewsFire (my RSS reader). Not many sites can provide the timely Apple updates like this one.

MacRumors is one of the most populare Macintosh interest sites on the web right now. If you ever need to know what Apple is currently doing or what to expect from them in the near future this is the place to go. The community comes together from all over to provide the most exclusive news and rumors possible regarding the greatest company, Apple!

SMS Text News covers all news related to the mobile industry. From products and services to reviews on soon to be released handsets, this is your source. Being extremely interested in the mobile industry and currently working for a mobile promotions company this is one site I never let slip past the radar.

MarketingVOX always has great updates on the world of online marketing. Here you’ll get up-to-date news on many of the big players in the industry as well as new startups that are making a rumble!

Those are my top 7 favorite sites to visit. This list was very easy to narrow down too even though I have over 40 sites currently in NewsFire. For me these are the destinations I must visit on a daily basis. What are the blogs that you can’t go without visiting on a daily basis? Where is your addiction?
