Trying to get traffic to your site? Well, some of you may have heard about the new service Blog Rush, which is meant to help drive traffic to your blog. Essentially, Blog Rush provides a sidebar widget that displays posts that others have written on their own blogs that relate to your sites content. They’ve even provide a nice little demo video to help explain how the service works.

If you haven’t noticed Blog Rush on my site it currently looks like this:

The benefit of this widget is that each time it displays a post from your site you earn a credit. For example, TechWorkSpace has earned a credit because a post has appeared in my sidebar widget. This creates exposure for your site on many other blogs. Blog Rush also provides a referral system in which you’ll earn credits for users that sign up via clicking on your Blog Rush widget. Note, that was not a shameless plug to check out this service from my site. As Darren Rowse said on Pro Blogger, this sort of seems like a pyramid scheme but mathematically it appears like it can genuinely drive some traffic to a site.

Before I make any judgements on how effective I think this service will be I plan on monitoring it for about a week or two and examine the results. Stay tuned in about a week to see what kind of results I’ve received. Are you going to use Blog Rush? What are your thoughts on its effectiveness?
