New Mac Setup Is Almost Done
October 9th, 2007 | Personal, Workflow, toonice4TV.comAs some of you know I’ve been awaiting the delivery of my Dell 30″ monitor. I recently did a post on a handful of mac setups that inspired me and I’m near completion with my new workspace. Having just moved into my new apartment some things are still being unpacked. I’m currently the market for some nice shelves and organizational items but those will soon come. I’ve been talking about my setup for a while now and I wanted to at least post some shots of it as the finalizing steps will be purely aesthetic.
What does this setup include?
- Dell 30″ UltraSharp Widescreen Monitor
- 2.66GHz Dual-Core Intel Xeon MacPro with 4GB of memory and a 250GB hard drive
- New Apple Wired Keyboard
- Logitech MX Revolution Mouse
- Klipsch ProMedia GMX A-2.1 Audio System
So far I’m in love with this setup. The keyboard is amazing and has kept amazingly clean. The 30″ monitor is perfect so far and I’m happy I chose it vs. adding an additional 20″ monitor. Check out some more pictures of my workspace and please note that I will post some new photos once I update lighting, shelving and hang some photos or something on the wall above the monitor. So until then stay tuned!!!

I know this was posted a while ago but that setup looks really nice. I’m actually considering buying a 20″ dell monitor, a wireless apple keyboard and an MX revolution mouse to go with my Macbook, as I miss the desktop setup, but I still want portability. How is the dell monitor treating you and what model was it? I’ve read about them and they seem to be a great alternative to the ACD which is too far out of my budget.

I love my 30″. It is a little big though. I would definitely consider a 24″ if you’re going to spend the money. My model is the DELL 3007WFP. I used to have an Apple 20″ prior and they are nice as well. Sleek looking but the Dell’s are way more affordable.
Do it! You won’t regret the extra screen real estate.
