Well Greg, to be honest, I wouldn't expect a traffic spike anywhere close to what you got from Problogger.net! However, I plan to keep your ad displayed in a prominent location for as long as possible, and I hope it will bring you some significant traffic over time.

As for guest posting on other sites, I guess the best advice is to try different things and see what works for you. Maybe one site gets a lot of traffic but your post is quickly buried because they post so frequently. Maybe another site gets little traffic but is steadily rising in the ranks, and gives you access to readers you might never find otherwise. Which is best? Trick question--the best thing is to post on both sites!

Just try and see. If you find that certain sites give you more traffic or a better experience in some way, then by all means concentrate on them going forward, but you first have to have some basis for making that decision. In the meantime, links from any legitimate source are good for attracting new readers and boosting your PageRank.

Great post on shooting RAW, by the way. It was very informative, had useful links, and a nice-looking graphic. It was accessible to newbies, yet it would also benefit intermediate-level photographers.
