NEW toonice4TV Design Courtesy Of xHTML Coding
November 30th, 2007 | toonice4TV.comWell, if you haven’t noticed I’m rockin’ a new Wordpress Theme as of the last week or so. You won’t find this one anywhere as this has been custom made for toonice4TV.com. I would first like to thanks xHTML Coding for designing and coding the new theme. I can’t express how flexible they were for my vision of the site as well as their timing. No joke, my site was up and live in NO TIME…maybe two weeks tops and some of those were just waiting for money transfer. Ok, so if you haven’t noticed here is what’s new!
To start you’ll notice the rounded corners of at the top and that flows nicely into the main body area of the site. As I planned my new design there were a number of things I wanted to accomplish.
1. I wanted the subscription area to more visibly stand out. By moving this toward the top of the site and utilizing the RSS button I feel that this section now stands out without being an annoyance. It allows for users to both subscribe via an RSS reader or simply enter their email.
2. I wanted to include an area for sponsor-able advertisements. You’ll notice that currently xHTML Coding has taken up one of these spots and I’m using the 250×80 banner as a self promo to my photography. In the near future I’ll be creating a page dedicated to my photography itself as it seems to be black sheep considering how everything else is tech-related. I’m still playing with this idea so stay tuned! If you’re interested in advertising on my site, I’m extremely flexible with rates and open to barter deals as my traffic continue to increase! 3. I’m still using the Flickr RSS Plugin as you can see now displaying more of my photos. If you would like to see more click here!
I’m still working on installing some new plugins but I’m completely pleased with the new theme thus far. I feel that its much cleaner and more professional looking and of course its custom to toonice4TV.com. If you’re interested in a new theme for your blog definitely check out xHTML Coding as they are great and work at an extremely fair price! The new theme is good, but the line-height needs to be increased for readability. Space between the items in “Related Posts” would also help.
