You may notice I’m trying out a new widget in my sidebar here at toonice4TV. This widget is called Skribit. Skribit is a user-generated content suggestion application for blogs. It’s a really great idea that was created by Paul Stamatiou and others at StartUp Weekend in Atlanta. If you’re not familiar with Paul Stamatiou, he is one of my favorite bloggers. I recently had the opportunity to interview him and have shared this interview with my post 10 Questions With Paul Stamatiou. The great thing about Skribit is that it provides a solution for bloggers that easily allows readers to suggest topics for posts.

When it comes to blogging, interacting with your readers is very important. Until now, providing your thoughts regarding specific posts in the comment section was the only way to contact the authors unless they’ve provided an area for you to do so. Now, blog authors can assure that they hear their readers while simultaneously providing topics of conversation. The best readers are repeat readers, those that always come back to your site for more. Skribit gives you the chance for you as an author to hear the readers voice.

I’ve finally been approved to run the widget on my site as they’ve been rolling this out to those that have requested in phases. I don’t have the readership of blogs like Paul does, yet but I’m building. I sometimes have writers block and I know some of my readers have thoughts as they are my friends and email me directly. Now, Skribit will let any reader provide suggestions on topics for posts and also vote on them. This will allow me to know which topics seem to be the topic of choice.

So calling all bloggers! Help cure writers block, hear your readers voice, see what topics people are voting for, its FREE and really easy to install. Readers! Now is your chance to speak up. Let me and other Skribit using bloggers know what topics interest you the most. Please do give it a try by suggesting a topic and I will gladly write a post on it.
