So yesterday I got my first tattoo. It was an awesome experience. This wallpaper weekend I chose to post a series of pictures of the entire experience from start to finish. I’ve been wanting a tattoo for a while now. I’ve kind of known what I wanted on my body as well. I’ve been reading Still I Rise by Maya Angelou for many years. I find it extremely uplifting and one verse has always really captured my attention.

Just like moons and like suns,

With the certainty of tides,

Just like hopes springing high,

Still I’ll rise

Without further adieu here are pictures from the entire experience.

I definitely recommend getting a tattoo if you can decide on something that you can see yourself having forever. Are you inked up now? Are you interested in getting a tattoo?
